T4 and NOA

I was employed through an employment agency. And I worked for two different companies for them

The T4 and NOA includes both jobs

But only one of the jobs qualifies for CEC

Would I submit the T4 and NOA as is or any changes need to be made

Or an explanation letter needs to be attached?

I also noticed that the income amount on T4 and NOA doesn't match because NOA includes all jobs - only one of which qualifies

The only thing I can suggest is make sure your letter of employment from the employment agency provides a clear distinction between the two assignments, and provides enough information for the VO to be able to make the right calculations (e.g. dates, hours worked, wages for each position). You would only need the job duties/responsibilities (and location of assignment) for the qualifying position...

The letter of employment provided by the agency is only for the qualifying position. I worked for two different companies through this agency with a big gap in between and no connection between the roles. The only thing common was the employment agency. Letter of employment was requested by me at a much later stage for the qualifying position.

If you are not prepared to ask for a new letter from the employment agency, then you can write a letter of explanation yourself and hope that is enough. But the whole reason for the Letter of employment is that you can't expect CIC to simply take your word for everything, the Letter of Employment serves kind of like a witness attesting to the facts of your application...

I think you misunderstood.

The employment letter is for the qualifying position and fulfils all requirements listed on the cec doc. checklist.

I understand that. You asked how you can explain the problem with 2 jobs and one T4. I answered.

I misunderstood

In fact this just opened my eyes to the situation in a way I haven't looked at it before

The T4 is provided by the employer and the NOA includes all income obviously

So here is my situation

for privacy purposes I'll use x, y

In year X I worked few jobs..Only one of which qualifies that was from this employment agency

So the Income earned on NOA and T4 don't match for year X

Next year - year Y this qualifying job continued and then later on I was at another job through the same employment agency so the T4 and NOA income amount matches but only one job qualifies

SO essentially the problem is with both year X and Y

Year X all jobs on NOA and T4 only for qualifying job

Year Y both jobs on NOA and T4 and one qualifies

I hope I make sense

So you're saying that get a letter from employer explaining the T4? as in why there is more income than the qualifying job

What about year X NOA where income doesn't match T4?

I can't believe I didn't think of it this way

This is not a problem - your background history will identify all jobs for the year, but your letter of employment and T4 will cover the qualifying employment.

So you're saying that get a letter from employer explaining the T4?

Yes - The letter just needs to clarify the full period of employment, that you held different assignments (dates are important), but the rest of the letter provides details for the skilled assignment -

It's a minor edit to your current letter - hopefully the agency will not mind

Now heres the thing the second job through this agency was only for a couple of weeks not even

I am really on the verge of applying...Is this absolutely necessary as I already have everything almost ready?

Please provide input others along with jes_on so we can have more opinions

So it's a relatively small amount - just write a letter of explanation....
