Syria-Damascus office: Processing time after getting CSQ

Dear All,

Can anyone help identify the processing time after getting the CSQ.

I have applied to the Canadian embassy in Damascus with my wife and we got the CSQ, and on the secured website, the status is showing "In process" since March 16, 2009

Any hint?

i prefer you to sent them a letter(email) to clarify about your application becuase i read in one forum that within 4 months you must get reply from them(im not sure !!)

I sent them around 7 emails and i only got an auto-reply that my email is received and will be forwarded to the appropriate division...
I also sent them around 3 faxes with no reply...

The office in Damas doesn't transfer you to the Federal office due to internal policy as they claim.

This is frustrating me...

well the time is really up to them, i mean forget about what is said on the site but it's definitely not 4 months;
It's something between 12 months and god knows how long.....
I hope u'll b lucky to hear from them in march or april.

If you take the time to look at the average processing times: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/02b-skilled-que.asp#africa You will see that Damascus takes from 8-15 months for 80% of Quebec applicants.

The time length mentioned is after getting the CSQ? or is it meant for the whole immigration visa process?

I have applied to the immigration visa in 2006.
I had my interview in May 2008
My wife has been added to my file in September 2008
I got CSQ in Feb. 2009
My application is processed in Federal office since March 2009
Waiting ....
