Switching from Tim Hortons to Live-In Care Giver program

hi
just wanted to know what is required of me to switch from working at tim hortons to the Live in CareGiver program.. my work permit is good until feb 2016

do i need to leave canada? or i can transfer permit to new employers?

any help appreciated thanks

Assuming you are on a closed work permit: First your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA. You must then apply for a new closed work permit. You can only start working for your new employer once your new work permit is approved. You cannot transfer your existing work permit to your new employer.
