I have a technical question about changing status in regards to a university course. I am an international student who got accepted by a university in Canada for a 4-year undergraduate degree. When I applied for the study permit, I attached the letter of acceptance which was given to me by the university, and such letter stated that I had enrolled in a 4-year program. I have already renewed the study permit once for two more years, and the documentation I forwarded to CIC still stated I was enrolled in a 4-year program.
I am considering switching from a 4-year program to a 3-year one at the same university, however I will keep studying the same subject I originally applied with when I enrolled at the university.
I wonder is such action will have any repercussions whatsoever.
