Hi,

I applied for canadian PR under CEC in May last year and in Nov 2010, I got married in Pakistan. I came back to Canada and provided documents to add my wife to my immigration application right away. I've order my CAIPS file and it does confirm that my wife has been added to my application and it does mention the supporting documents (as a proof of marriage) that I sent along with the required ones to add my wife to my application.

In March, 2011, my file got transferred to NY office for supposedly a faster processing but I haven't heard anything from them yet. I'm just waiting until 90 days are over (early june) and I'll send them an email regarding a status update, but I am hopeful that I'll hear from CIC earlier than that.
Anyhow, I was wondering if I should mail CIC NY any more documents supporting my proof of marriage such as phone bills, money transfers to my wife, because Canadian people who've sponsored their wife apparently have to go through a lot more scrutiny and I don't want my application to get delayed because of that.

Please suggest.
Thanks

My file was tranferred to NY in March also, and I'm still waiting. I suggest NOT mailing anything until requested by CIC, but you could be collecting and gathering it so that you would be ready if they do ask...
