Hello,

I am aware that all supporting documents should be in either French or English, and if they are not, they should be sent along with a certified translation. Upon reading CIC's official information about this (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=018&top=4), I have a question:

There it says that the document should be sent with
  • the English or French translation and
  • an affidavit from the person who completed the translation and
  • a certified photocopy of the original document
I do not understand the third item. Why should we send a certified copy of the same document, if we are sending the original already?
Furthermore, a certified translation should count as a certified copy in another language, am I wrong?
