My wife is a Canadian Citizen by birth. She has lived in the UK for the last 13 years and she is now hoping to sponsor me to immigrate to Canada.

We have been looking through the Document Checklist for Sponsorship and have a couple of questions...

For question 17 does she need to send in an Option C Printout if she hasn't lived or filed taxes in Canada for the past 13 years? Will they accept this as an explanation?

For question 18, I am aware that Spousal sponsorship doesn't have any financial requirements and with my wife being employed in the UK will obviously be having to give up her job to move, do we need to send anything to satisfy this question?

Thanks in advance!

If she hasnt filed taxes then she wont have an Option-C and for couples without one they would just give a letter explaining why they dont have it

As you know there isnt any financial requirement for spouse sponsorship and in your case she will show how she is planning to support you and this can be from taking courses, showing job prospects, you families able to help out etc which will also satisfy her intentions to return to Canada
