just found more info today telling me not to do my medical first - thats wrong right?
and how many passport type photos of me & hubby need to be included? do i really need to go to a photographer or will a passport booth do?

usually these forms are done by a sponsored spouse, not a sponsor. the same is with photos - only sponsored person. the photos must be according the specifications provided.

1.) Yes, you should do the medicals before submitting the application. Because they expire after 1 year, try to do them as close to submitting the application as possible.

2.) Which visa office will be processing your application? The supplementary information form for your travels is not necessary for all visa offices. For example, the form is available as part of the region specific forms for most of Europe, but if you look at the checklist that is in that same document, it says only applicants applying through Paris need to include it. So, if my assumption is correct and you're applying through London, you don't need to fill it out. If you do need it, then you would fill it out with your information.

3.) The Additional Family Information [IMM 5406] form is required by all PR applicants, without it your application is incomplete. So yes, by all means, fill that out (it's for the sponsored person). Fill out everything that applies - spouse, parents, siblings, children. If you have no siblings or children, sign where it says to do so to confirm it.

Excellent thanks. Im not sure which office is processing my stuff? ive been told to send it to the canada office, i'd assumed it would get sent to the relevant place after that as i sure as heck dont know! it seems every time i solve one thing i hit another brick wall!

Well, this is something you kinda need to know, since things like this one depend on who will be processing it. And there's one or two places where you have to write it on the forms.

You send the application to Mississauga and they transfer it to the visa office responsible for your country of nationality.

Find the one that has your country listed under 'Responsible for immigrant applications from'.

Alternatively, you could choose the visa office responsible for the country that you had been legally admitted to for 1 year or more. So if you were a permanent resident of Australia, you could have it processed in Sydney instead of whatever country you're a citizen of.

EDIT; just trying to fill out additional family n my address doesnt fit in the box, heck my name barely fits in the box! what should i do?
Also i ca honestly say that with regards to travel info i can give thm the month of arrival n leaving, but not exact numbers of days ...i dont still have plane tickets...do i guess or is that lying? can i find out somehow?

You're applying through London, you don't need to send the supplementary travel form.

Application to sponsor and undertaking should be filled out by the sponsor. Assuming you're living in England, you leave b) empty (because the address IS in your country of nationality) and you leave c) empty too.

For additional family info form, I had to print really small and actually write the addresses in two lines. If you look at the pdf (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5406E.PDF), it's editable, so you can fill it out on the computer and print it. Try typing in there and you'll see what I mean.

I never even thought of typing it on the computer! Thankyou! I already filled out the travelly bits - but id guess giving them too much inof is better than not enough xDD
I -think- i have everything sorted now. just waiting on police forms and medicals (bah)
