Hello seniors,

I am applying under CEC category. I am a foreign worker working for a client in Canada through an MNC. My company's base location is in India and my reporting manager also works from India along with other offshore team.

Since my employer declined to provide the employee reference letter due to their change in Policy not to issue reference letters for PR purpose, Can I submit my manager reference letter who is working from India? Will this be accepted by CIC?

The basic problem I foresee is that, if CIC calls to talk with the manager for verification of my employment, sometimes it would be odd timings and there might be a chance that my manager miss the call.

Could anyone please suggest any help?

Thanks

Ganesh

Submit whatever documents you have...... Well CIC knows how to handle Back ground checks, you don't need to worry about the odd timings.

Thank you for your reply.

It's not clear to me, what's the difference between your "employer" and your "manager"? Is your manager working for your employer or the client company? If your manager is working for your employer, then, same thing. It's better to get the letter from your direct supervisor anyway.

But if your "manager" is working for your client company, it will be good to have, but it will not be enough.

"manager" - What I meant is my direct supervisor who is working for my employer. The letter he would be giving will not be on the company's letter head; but can provide the business card attached to it.
