hi there,

my parents already have a multiple entry visa for a few years and are currently visiting me here. i have been told by CIC that i have to apply for 'extend your stay as a visitor' but the only thing is that i hage to include all the documents that need to be submitted for super visa. my questions are:

1. has anyone already done this? if yes, any advice?
2. can you apply through the online application? if yes, do u still have to submit photographs? (cic call centre doesn't know the answer to this!)
3. do medicals have to be done before submission?

thanks in advance.

Hi! Your parents can apply for Super Visa from Canada. You can check more information on government web site. But definitely you have to prove to an immigration officer that you have ties, such as a job, stability and also that your parents will leave Canada at the end of their visit;
One of other important conditions to receive a Super Visa is to present proof that they have bought Canadian Medical Insurance Coverage for at least one year.
(It is possible to buy medical Insurance for Super Visa online)
A key requirement for obtaining a Super Visa is proof of private medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company.
The coverage must:
• Be valid for a minimum of one year
• Cover health care, hospitalization and repatriation
• Provide a minimum coverage of $100,000
• Be valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port of entry officer
