Hi all,

I submitted an application for my mom's visa. What I had in mind was supervisa. I prepared all the application. Now we requested a travel insurance from the home country (where she lives now) for 1 year. And as a proof, I attached that payment form to her application. Would it be Okay?

Also, I couldn't find a distinct link for applying between supervisa and general TRV. If they don't accept that insurance from her, would they reject the whole application? or would they consider it for a general visitor visa? (In a cover letter, she specifically mentioned that if not supervisa, she'd like general visitor visa).

Thank you all.

Her application will be considered for a regular TRV and not for a super visa:
1. For a super visa, her intended length of stay must be close to that for a super visa. Generally, IRCC considers visits of one year and more as super visa visits.

2. For a super visa, her medical insurance should have been purchased from a Canadian insurance company + it should be minimum CAD 100,000 insurance coverage

3. Not sure if you submitted documents to prove you meet LICO for her super visa

Thanks for your answer.

Also, in her MyCIC profile, she received the request letter for biometric, it says:
"This document must be submitted within one week from the day this correspondence is sent."

The letter was dropped to her MyCIC inbox on Jan 21, 2019. Did she miss the chance? What should I do?

Thanks!

Biometrics is mandatory for applicants from all countries. The letter she received is standard process.

1. Do you meet LICO?
2. You will need to buy new medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company. Can you do this?
3. If yes to both questions then you can send an amended application form (Super visa stay - More than 6 months) + evidence that you meet LICO + copy of the Canadian insurance + affidavit that you will financially be responsible for her stay, etc.... and request the visa office to consider the new application for a super visa.

No guarantees that it will work, but you can give it a try

Hello,

Any response is greatly appreciated..

I'm planning to apply super visa for my mother and I've chosen an option where my mother depends on me for funds.
However, while uploading the docs, CIC postal still asks me to submit proof of funds for my mother(visitor) and myself (Invitor).

Will it be okay, if i submit an explanation letter stating my mother depends on me and I'm showing her funding from here in Canada.

Thanks!

You still should provide her financial information.

Thanks for all your responses, canuck78 and Bryanna.

Can you please clarify this part on the letter for biometric? {"This document must be submitted within one week from the day this correspondence is sent."}

Is it too late now to pay 85$ for biometric so the application goes forward? Thanks.
