Dear friends

My parents are wanting to visit canada for a period of 3 months

I am looking for some suggestions which option will work for them better-supervisa or Visitor visa

One which has lesser chances of being denied and also is easier and faster to get

This is their first visit to canada and they will continue to come in between for few months but their stay will be always be in range of 3-4 mths max

Thanks for your help

visitor's visa. no need for medical insurance of your parents. it can be approved after 4 days if you apply them online.

Thnx but I heard that rejection rate of visitor visa>supervisa plus your parents need to show strong ties with home country, financial status etc etc
This is considering both of my parents are not working

Financially and logically, visitor visa makes sense but CIC doesn't always follow that principle:)

Please shed some light on this

You have to provide some evidences that your parents have properties such as land titles or cert of registration for owned vehicles; bank certificates showing that they have these savings or they receive regular remittances from their sons/daughters.

in the invitation letter, you have to convince CIC that they will be coming back after their stay in ca. you can also add a little "drama" for example, anniversary or birthday celebrations or reunion. that's what my sister did. and CIC approved my father's TRV in 4 days. :)

You have to show strong ties with your home country for the super visa as well and prove your parents have no plans to overstay their visa. Your parents also have to pass a medical for the super visa.

I would go for super visa. It is much easier and if your parents change their minds they can stay for a year or two:)

Friends

What is the best way to showcase the financial proof of the funds in bank for visitor visa?

a.Will bank statements suffice? They will be in the native currency and not in CAD.Will that cause an issue?
b.How much per month per person is expected by cic?

thnx
