I am a PR and living in Toronto.

My mother has a valid visit visa and is now India till end of this month.
She has completed her medical for supervisa with a designated according to CIC website doctor in India

I am trying to submit her online application for supervisa..https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/parent-grandparent-super-visa/apply.html

I have T4, my PR card, letter of support and invitataion etc.

The CIC website says
  • proof of payment for medical insurance from a Canadianinsurance company that is:
    • valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry
    • at least $100,000 coverage
Since we don't know when her visa and date of entry will be approved, how do we buy insurance for her?

Thanks

Just pick any estimated date to buy insurance like 2 month from now and apply for visa . If it took long time to get visa u can extend arival date for insurance as many time as u want for free of cost

Do you have an NOA showing you meet LICO. NOA is the preferred proof to show that you meet LICO, You buy supervisa insurance but it on,ly starts when she arrives and if she doesn’t remain for a year you can get a rebate for unused months. The insurance companies are aware that you are required to show that you have purchased 1 year of supervisa insurance when applying but you don’t need to provide a start date to the policy.
