Hi everyone,

I can see that the online check list is asking for:

Purpose of Trave
Document: Purpose of Travel - Other

You must provide documents supporting the purpose of your travel to Canada. Examples include: proof of educational study, wedding invitations, proof of a medical appointment, notification of death, funeral notice, etc.

In our case my mother-in-law is just visiting us without any funeral or wedding. I haven't seen her in over 5 years now so I miss her.

1- Should that be on a letter separate from the invitation letter?
2- Would we have a stronger case if she is attending a wedding party?

Thanks,

Thanks, so the application itself has a field where you can enter the purpose of travel from the applicant point of view?

Yes but no, there is a field for purpose of travel but "it is a combo box with a few options, not much room for a "point of view".
