Hello,

(sorry for a long post, the questions are in the last two sentences)

I am trying to invite grandparents through Super Visa.

I read the income requirements for the sponsor under Financial support (proof of funds).

The thing is, I am an incorporated consultant, and my income on Notice of Assessment is not enough to pass the Family Income Threshold. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...isa-temporary-resident-visa.html#incometables

The instructions page lists the following possible documents:
  • Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year
  • Employment Insurance stubs
  • employment letter including salary and date of hiring
  • pay stubs
  • bank statements
Out of those:
  • NOA - not enough to pass the threshold
  • Don't have EI stubs
  • Cannot provide employment letter
  • Don't have pay stubs
  • Bank statements - this is the only one that I can show that has significant savings, but it won't show much income coming in, only savings from past 2 years.

Does showing a bank statement with savings, but no income work?

Can I show income coming in to the corporation bank account?

No - a bank statement will not be accepted as a substitute.

No - income coming from the corporation bank account will not be accepted.

You must show that you are earning enough income as an individual. For tax purposes, independent consultants will sometimes pay themselves a lower salary and keep income within their corporation. If that's what you've done and want to have enough income for the super visa, you'll need to increase what you are paying yourself to meet LICO.
