Super visa rejection after passport submission

If immigration Canada send the instructions for passport submission at their embassy, can they still refuse a super visa?

Im asking because i applied for a supervisa for my mother but i had to travel to the US for 4 days. Im a bit scared that they refuse her due to me beimg outside of Canada for 4 days.

It would be unusual but yes, it's possible to be refused after passport request.

You being outside of Canada for 4 days is not a reason for refusal.
