Super Visa- Parents, When to get Insurance ?

Hi all,

I got my parents Super visa in 2012, My Father has Passport valid until 2021 so he got 9 year visa, But my had a Passport valid upto 2012 so they have her 1 year 6 month visa until Feb 2014. Now am reapplying for my mom because she got her new renewed passport and i have submitted all my documents and letters from my side.

But only question is Medical Insurance ? Last time they were sure coming to visit me during Sept 2012, So we bought medical insurance and submitted when applying for visa. But this time they arent planning to come yet but just getting the visa process done so my parents can come when they wanted.

Parents Super Visa - Last time we didnt do medicals But submitted Medical Insurance.

What should i do now? Please Help

i would suggest to do the application and depending on how you apply i.e online or on paper, you may/may not need to submit medical insurance.
if online, the question will list insurance as a required document so you cant submit without it. If paper application, you might be able to submit without it but also face a risk of negative decision.

wait for them to request for medical before doing it but most certainly, medical insurance is required for PG 1 super visa

One of my Friend applied for TRV visa for his MOM and they gave her till her passport expires, But am confused he didnt apply as Super visa & did gave her till her passport expires , thats weird.

was it super visa that was given? i had something similar, applied for visitor visa, was asked to provide insurance and PG1 super visa was given for 10yrs.

CIC now issues visitor visa up till the expiration of the passport so i guess its a new development which is good

What you can do is to get insurance policy that starts in a few months- let's say in 3 or 4 months. You can easily move the date after that. It is very easy and can be done online. For more information and assistance, visit:

On the website there is also an online for for changing dates of the insurance policy.

I think they give Multiple Entry Visa for 10 Years it seems.
