Hi everyone,

My mom already got her super visa and came to Canada once, now she comes to visit me again, anyone knows if I still have to buy health insurance for her with $100,000 coverage as required when applying for the first time? Thanks

Yes she must maintain at least 100k coverage via supervisa insurance throughout the whole time she is in Canada. It is one of the major requirements of a supervisa. Most policies are for a year but you must extend the policy if she remains longer. Upon entry she can be asked to show proof that she has supervisa insurance.

More than anything, having the super visa insurance is IN your benefit. Don't try to save money, one visit to the emergency will cost you more than the premium I'm sure.
