super visa for parents

My parents are curently visiting me in Canada on regular, multiple visa.

we would like to apply for Supervisa. Does anyone know if we can do it from inside the country or it has to be done from there home country.

Yes, you can apply from within Canada but will need to provide the proof of medical insurance for a year, as well as other required documents.

Absolutely possible to do that. There will be the same requirements for both insider/outsider application. The only thing is that your medical insurance, which you will need to buy, will have a certain waiting period, because the applicant is already in Canada.

especially if super visa was issued from inside the country as an extension to their existing visa?

Super Visa is a separate program, not an extension, that grants your parents/grandparents a multi-entry visa as well as you can stay in Canada for up to two years in row under the SV.

OK, so if they get a supervisa while they already in canada, would they be able to leave and comeback to canada using super visa since its a multi entry?

can anyone please tell the validity of the super visa after it is issued? Does it follow the same principle as PR visa i.e. expiry of 12 months after medical examination.

Super Visa is issued and valid for 10 years and allows parents/grandparents of a Canadian PR/Citizen to stay for up two 2 consecutive years on a Canadian soil.

Or me being a canadian citizen is good enough for them to apply for Super visa?

Your parents do not have to be Canadian PRs. It is just you who must be either a PR or a Citizen. So you got nothing to worry about.
