Hello everyone. Me and my wife are planning on making our parents apply for a super visa, so they can come visit us for the coming summer. To be more specific I am planning on inviting my mother and my wife his planning on inviting both her parents (my in-laws). We are wondering if both of us should do a joint application for all our parents together or should she apply separately for her parents only, and I apply separately for my mother only? By joint application I mean we both jointly sponsor all our parents and by separate application I mean she sponsor's her parents and I sponsor my parent.

Does it make any actual difference in the making the application or their chances of being approved in that regards?

If we do it separately, she will apply in a few days as she does not want to wait anymore, and I will apply in 2 weeks, as my mother's passport in currently being renewed. It is likely her income won't be enough for the family size calculation if she applies by herself. Her family size calculation will be 4 (2 of her parents, myself being her spouse and herself). And my family size calculation would be 3 ( as it would be myself, my spouse and my mother). Basically my question is how we should we be making the sponsorship here, jointly or individually?

Thank you for your answer.
I guess what i meant was if i don’t co sign for her and she doesn't for mine, does it mean family size will be 5 for her and 4 for me?
And does the family size affect the chances of approval, if it is within the income threshold? Like if there is a higher buffer between the required income and actual income.

If you are not co-signing & she meets LICO for 4 then go ahead. You meet LICO or you don’t with NOA.

Im not sure if she will meet LICO requirements for 4 by herself. If she doesn’t i can co-sign for her parents and have her co-sign while i do the application for my mother as well. In that case the LICO count will be 5 for both of us but the combined income will be looked at both our applications. Do you think that would be the way to go?

Again thank you for your response, i appreciate it.
