Greetings all,

I am new to this forum and found it extremly informative. I have queation regarding super visa for my parents. Any help/suggestion will be appreciated.

My problem is:

I live in Toronto, Ontario and applied for Super visa for my parents. They just received their passports and visa is granted only until March 2013 for my mom and June 2013 for my father. My mom's passport is expiring in April 2013 (the reason why the visa is not the same as my dad's). They don't want to travel in winter and would like to visit in summer. Is there anyway we can apply for the visa extension after they arrive in Canada? if so, how do I go about doing it. My mother will make a new passport from Pakistan and carry upon arrival.

Thank you all!

Hi,

I heard that it is enough after getting the new passport that they go to the embassy and extend the visa on the new passport, however I couldn't find anything related to this in the website. Let your parents ask the visa office about this.

Thanks.

A super visa a two year multiple entry visa I don't believe it can be extended. However the two years starts with each visit, you will have to renew their passport to enter Canada and provide proof of insurance for each visit. I don't see why you would need an extension if you parents are only visiting during summer month and flying back home during winter month.
if you need insurance contact me directly.
