Hi,
My mom is currently here on a 10 year super visa. She has stayed for 2 years and now we are looking to extend her stay for another year. I have looked online and I'm not 100% sure if I have all of the necessary documents for extending her stay. Currently, I have completed:
1) the checklist,
2) the extend stay form,
3) a letter of invitation that includes all of the necessary information,
4) document that lists my income, and
5) a letter that states the reason for extension.
I have also included a copy of my passport, certificate of citizenship and a copy of her passport. Is there anything else I have to include? Do I have to include a copy of the extension of medical insurance, return flight information and a passport type photograph of her? Also, how long can I extend her stay for ie, is there a certain limit? Finally, does she have to undergo a medical exam?
Also, if I wanted to take her down to the US for a trip, should I apply for the US visitor Visa after the super visa has been extended? i have also read that applying for a US Visa while in Canada on a super visa is likely to result in a rejection as my mother is not applying for the US visa from her home country. Is this true?
Thank you in advance for the help.
