Good morning

I have applied the super visa for my parents. Now I received the notice for the medical exam. However for some reason my parents do not want to go through it.. It looks like that if it is tourism visa for staying under 6 months, there is no need for the medical exam. The question is, can I withdraw the current super visa application and apply for the tourism one? Will that be considered as a "reject" or "refuse" of the supervisa or is it a simple cancellation? Will that affect the tourism visa application..?

Thanks!

Yes - you can withdraw the current visa application. This should be regarded as a withdrawal - not a refusal. It should not work against them for future applications. Note that you shouldn't expect to receive any of your fees back since CIC has already started processing the application.
