Super Visa Biometrics Question

I have applied online for my parents for a super visa. I got a message from CIC that they need to do their biometrics. Do they have to do it immediately or they can just wait to have it done with the medical once it is requested? I don't want them to travel to twice to the VAC.

1. Well the visa office won't process the application any further without the biometrics. So you can take the chance that the visa will be issued and have your parents do the biometrics and have an "up front medical"
