Hi, I am new to the process - plan to submit a request for Super Visa for my mom. Most documents are ready, but still I am confused about the paper vs. online application. I would prefer the online, to make it easier for her, but need to understand the process and hope someone who has gone through it can explain how to go about it. I can complete the forms on her behalf, as I am sure many people do for their parents. Had it been a paper submission, I would have printed and mailed the forms for her to sign, along with the rest of the documents (invitation, income proof, etc.), have her assemble the package as per the checklist and submit it to the visa office at the Canadian embassy. With the online application, how do I deal with IMM forms she needs to sign: send to her, she signs, emails to me, I upload? What about the photos - can she send them to me by email and I upload them, too? What happens to the originals of the paper documents such as notarized translation of birth certificate to show relationship and so on? Scan and upload, too? Can I pay the fee by my credit card here in Canada? I have been looking at the CIC website, but still have no clarity on the online submission process and will appreciate the help. Thank you!

Please submit a paper application. I used the same rationale as you and we filed an online application and have been waiting for 2.5 months for an outcome, while paper applications are being processed much faster.

Medical passed on March 10
Passport request/Final Decision still waiting.

After reading your post on resent topic initiated “VO error on my application that leads to procedural fairness” I am again feeling insecure. Although we already talk on it before but still….let me remind you.

Problem is that after submitted my dad application I realized that in form IMM5257, I supposed to check "Yes" where it's been asked that if ever you refused for VISA as my dad got his Visitor visa rejected last year. But I mistakenly check "No" however in explanation column I explain everything aligned as per rejection letter.

Although I forget to check "Yes" instead of "No" but I have explained the reason of rejection very well and uploaded the same at "Explanation" tab and following document attached.

I accept my mistake in writing when raised CSE and upload new updated Form IMM5257 with apology letter. Although I received file update e-mail in April 6, 2017 but I am confused if this e-mail is actually belongs to Medical update status or CIC update my dad file with new form.

Please guide.

Its good to be on this forum after almost 2 years. This is a wonderful forum and really helped me a lot during my own immigration process.

Right now, I am intending to apply for super visa of parents from Pakistan. Any one here who has applied or applying? Please share your experiences.

Plus if some one can guide:

1. Do we need to send a cover letter with application from parents side?
2. What kind of financial proof is acceptable and is there any minimum requirement?
3. What is the effective and best mode to apply. Online or VFS?
4. Any other advise please.

even my dad has had 2 TRV refusals last year. How did you explain the refusal?

Are requirements for Visit Visa same as Super Visa? I have heard that medical insurance is not required for a minimum 1 year.
Does anyone know the other details?
