Hey guys,

My parents are currently in Canada on super visa which is going to expiry in Oct and their current insurance is also expiring in Oct.. My father was in ER 4 weeks ago and now we made one claim on insurance which is more than $5000 so we can't extend current insurance. And they are going to stay for another 8-10 months.

Do we have to do extension on visa ? Without extension on visa can we able to get insurance ? Anyone faced this issue in past ?

Thanks

They must find other insurance to be in compliance with supervisa requirements. Also incredibly risky for him to be in Canada without insurance unless you will be able to cover the cost of any hospitalization with your own savings. Visas are only required to enter a country. Date stamped or not stamped on their passport determines how long they can stay. If they can’t get insurance or it is too expensive they need to return home in October.
