Summer Work Experience?

Hey folks,

So after completing my 1 year post grad i have a full time job in NOC B criteria. I also worked full time for 4 months in the summer while I was a student. Since I paid taxes on the salary i made there, would that time be counted for my work ex evaluation? Please some input will really be appreciated.

Hi Rish,

Sadly, summer work ex/internships don't count as the experience required by Express Entry is 'after graduating'. I was in the same boat and ultimately figured that my internship between year 1 and 2 of MBA doesn't matter.

Are these studies you completed in Canada or outside of Canada?

If you studied in Canada, your summer work experience cannot be counted towards any immigration program. If you studies outside of Canada, then you can.
