Hello everybody! So, in less than two month I finally got a "passport submission request message". It tells me that I can mail all the passports to the VAC. Now I have a lot of questions about this. Hopefully somebody here know the answers?
Q1: I have three passports to submit actually: me and my family. Should I use one single package for everything, or should I separate this into three independent packages?
Q2: What is better: USPS or UPS and what type of delivery?
Q3: "Package transmission fee" $19.90 for all three passports or for every passport? If for all three, is it OK to use one single money order for this? Should I pay any other fees, or just this one?
Q4: it tells me to include "a pre paid return courier envelope, if applicable". What is this? So, just an pre-paid return envelope will not be enough? And how many return envelopes: one for all the passports or one for every single passport?
Q5: on a VAC web page, there is following information: "Collection of documents: You have an option to receive your documents either in person or by return courier. VFS returns documents using UPS service. Please make payment of additional courier service, if you would like to receive your documents by return courier. For more details on how to pay the Visa Application Centre Services Charges and additional service charges please check Service and Service Charges Schedule."
Also, on the following page https://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/USA/additional_services.html it has following:
"
Courier Service Description:
Once a decision has been made on your visa application, the processed visa and documents can be returned to your preferred location via courier.
For more details on how to pay the Visa Application Centre Services Charges and additional service charges please check Service and Service Charges Schedule
$91.99 (return) (price per package)
This service can be availed at the Visa Application Centre during your visit or avail two way courier services if you are submitting application or passport through mail-in.
"
So, should I submit a 3x92=$276 additional money order? Or, If I just using USPS or UPS, could they (the VAC) send me back the passports the same way? Or, only via the courier?
Sorry for so many questions.
Best regards, Igor
