Submitting Profile without ECA?

Hello Members,

Need your expert advice on ECA. My friend is waiting for his ECA to be done.

I was wondering if he can submit his EE profile in the meantime. He is planning to apply under FSW.

I understand he won’t get any points for education until his ECA is submitted.

My question is, is he even allowed to submit EE profile without ECA, you know in order to just give him an edge when it comes to “profile submission time”, especially when the time entered the pool is used as a tie breaker?

He can't. There is a question for ECA reference number. If he doesn't provide one the profile will be ineligible. But he can start filling in the profile and add his ECA once he's got it and submit right after that.

would echo @Bobbieleigh above .. ECA and IELTS are usually the basic minimum requirements. I have heard that people put in placeholders (random numbers such as 0000000), but in my view that is a misrepresentation and most likely will lead to complications, least of which might be ineligibility of profile.

Do not submit without ECA. You can not even submit later as it should be on the submission day, otherwise you'll lose points for foreign education. It has happened to me and got rejection.
