Hello,

My Police certificate might take two months+ as I have to get one from Morocco through the consulate and one from FBI. so I m thinking to submit my PR application first with a letter explaining that I will send the Police Certs later once I get them.

Questions

1) Is it possible/advisable to do that?

2) what is your experience with a similar case? delays,.......

3) in case I m going that route, do I submit it later to the same visa office (Sydney office), or have to submit it somewhere else?

Please advise.

Hi omb10,

Yes, you can inform CIC that you are in the process of obtaining PCC from Morocco and FBI and will send the original certificates as soon as they become available. You can also send them a proof that you applied for the PCCs. Proof may be a copy of filled in application...remember it is just optional to provide a proof, but just a cover letter should be fine.

I suggest you to send the original PCCs to CIC as soon as you get them, so, don't wait until the visa office requests for them. And submitting the original PCCs to CIC shouldn't be any issue.

Make sure you have a scanned copy before you send them.

Thanks,
Sarayu.
