Submitting Gift Deed AFTER submitting application

Hi guys,

The deadline for my friends' ITA is 12 Oct. Unfortunately, he's from Kolkata and due to festivities, all courts are closed hence no one is available to notarize the gift deed until after the deadline. Can he submit it after the deadline? Please help!

If deadline passes, his ITA would automatically be canceled. I would submit the app and add a LOE indicating the gift deed would follow ASAP. I’m sure he has other POF docs he can submit in the interim?

The problem is WHERE to upload the docs. Once the application is submitted, its just done. Do we email it to a particular address or wait for the ADR? Could there be a straight rejection without an ADR to provide justification? Besides the notarized affidavit, he has his bank statements and the parents bank statement to show the chain of transfer.

Yes, he definitely intends to submit the application with or without the deadline.
