Hi there,
I'm preparing documents to apply under CEC when I ran into a question. I accidentally worked in my advisor's lab for about 2 weeks between program completion & getting my PGWP. I'm not planning to claim that work experience in application, but the income from that period of work shows up on NOA. Right now I'm not sure whether to include NOA or not, the details are:
I received letter of completion from school mid-May, 2019
Got my PGWP end of May
But my graduate funding stopped at the beginning of May. My advisor was kind to bring it up that he will compensate me for the amount of work after funding stopped.
Then I got a job starting mid June (let's call it job X)
So I stayed in my advisor's lab till then. My advisor wanted to pay me for the 1.5 months of work (May to mid June)
But because I didn't have PGWP till end of May, my pay stub showed that I got paid from June to mid July.
I'm only planning to claim work experience for job X. I have the employment letter + T4 + all paystubs ready, but IRCC website suggest submitting NOA too. But in my case, the total income shown on NOA = income from job X + income that my advisor paid me.
So my question is, would you suggest me to leave the NOA out, and just submit T4? Would IRCC request me to submit NOA after they see my application? If IRCC officer see the NOA income is higher than T4, would they question where the money come from? Or would it be a better idea to submit the NOA too and explain the money were paid by my advisor?
Suggestions? Thoughts? Thanks a lot in advance
