Clarifications in Forms:
(Sponsorship)

On Application to Sponsor, sponsorship agreement and undertaking IMM1344E

Part 1, Question 3: Is there a co-signer on this application?

Problem:
Can my husband being sponsored from abroad become a co-signer, if so then the co-signer details don't allow you to put an address that's outside of Canada.

HERE's the situation thats making me pull my hair out:

Sponsor Personal Details
Question 1: Full name

Problem:
(a) My (the sponsor's) current name on the passport has a middle name. All my other documents including Pakistani identification documents, Canadian citizenship card, the most recent of all documents i.e. the Canadian Sin Card, Canadian Health Insurance card all are without this middle name. But the field on the form says to write it "exactly as shown on the passport" (which has a middle name). So should we write the middle name as well?
(b)If we write the middle name in (a) above, should we include the name without the middle name in Question 2, where it asks "have you ever used any other name"
(c) and similarly in question 6, part c: "Full name at the time of becoming a Citizen, Is it your current full name"? Yes or No? IF no then what about all the documents that will be submitted with the application that are without the middle name.

Or is it that CIC shows leniency about middle names?

an applicant cannot be a co-sponsor. it's usually for sponsoring kids where either spouse can be a co-signer.

(a) use name on passport
(b) yes you can put middle name in other name
(c) write name with middle name

any reason why you omitted middle name in passport? you should change your passport name if possible.

Fill up the forms using your full name (including the middle name). Then you can attach a letter explaining why you other ID does not have the middle name. It should be OK - Canadians often do not use their middle name, even though it will be included on their passport, so this should not seem strange to the visa officers.

Your spouse cannot be the cosponsor. For spousal sponsorships, no cosponsor is allowed.

Actually the issue is. The passport doesnt have any field called a middle name. So my current passport has two names for the "Given Name" and one name for the "Surname".
Similarly in the sponsorship application too, the form doesnt have any field for the middle name. So, my original question needs to be modified :)
On my current passport I have two words as my given name and one name as my surname, all other documents Canadian and Pakistani have one first name and one surname.

To avoid confusion shall i get a new Canadian passport made with one Given Name and one Surname as with all other documents. Since this will be the same as my citizenship card, will they let me make the new passport omitting the extra word from my name?
My current passport is expiring in July 2016 by the way.

does your passport have the middle name added to the given name while you have other documents where middle name is written as middle name? then you don't have an issue. write middle name in middle name field. the officer will know. s long as your middlename is mentioned on the passport, you are fine. :)

Theres no middle name field on the sponsorship form, nor on the passport. So its actually part of my given name in the passport. Meaning First name has two Words. One extra word.

I found this somewhere on forums.
