I am currently an International student who is thinking of applying for PR through the new PEQ program of Quebec. I will be applying for my Post graduation Work permit in the month of March which will be of about 1 year for my 16 months of Masters Degree in McGill. I have two important questions
1. What is the minimum time I can get my PR after applying to it via CSQ? and What if I dont get my PR till 2012 March what should I do then? I am planning to apply to CSQ in month of April 2011
2. Can I study in University of Toronto as a PhD student after getting my PR from Quebec? If things go well I am expecting to get the PR by March 2012 and will apply for Sept 2012 for my PhD? So there is a gap of 5 months...however my status will be of an international student unless I get my PR so I have to apply before Feb 2012 for my PhD, so Can I apply as an International student and then wait for the decision on my PR?
What should I do? I would like to do a PhD but after gaining my PR..
