Studying and settling in Canada

I have my first degree in mass communication since 2017. As a Nigerian, I want to pursue my master’s in Canada, thereafter get a job and later obtain PR.
I have contacted the school to know if English proficiency letter (EPL) would suffice rather than IELTS. It's a yes! However, I am skeptical about getting a job and other necessary endeavours, if I won't be required to tender my IELTS......

Pls I need clarity.....

When you're at an interview, they're not going to ask you for your IELTS to determine your english ability. They will judge you based on your spoken english, mannerisms and your accent.
