Study while waiting for Visa stamp

Hi,

I'm on a BOWP and got PPR last week, waiting for visa stamp which I hope will be done mid Jan. I want to start taking courses toward my HR certification. I emailed to ask the school and they said it's non-academic courses so I can take it, quote on quote "as long as you have valid documents, you can register and take our courses".

I'm just wondering if it's true. It specifically says on the WP that i cannot participate in any courses/training, etc.

You can participate in training/courses as long as the total duration of the program / certificate / diploma is six months or less. I believe the HR certification typically takes a few years to complete - so you can't enroll until you have PR.
