hi everyone,

pls if anyone good help me i kindly request you to help me

i am from Sri Lanka and have completer MSc finance and accounting from uk university. now i would like to apply for the Canadian student visa. but i found one of the professional course of charted in general accountant (CGA) in Canada. but i cant apply for the visa directly for that course. so there is a Bcom international finance and accounting, that leads to the charted in general accountant(CGA) as it get the exemption up to fourth level of CGA.

but the problem is i am a postgraduate. if i apply for the B.com, will it be a problem for me. bcoz the embassy may raise the question that i have already finished postgraduate then why i selected the undergraduate degree. i am so confused. could anyone help me out to find solution. thank you

hello agash. . obviously if you go for bachelor degree ..it might attract the study mismatch problem. but you can do master course in canada. or even post bacc diploma in accounting in some canadian university. you can later do cga also . i read somewhere international students on student visa can do cga . i mean you need to be regular student in college or university and than you can do cga.. .. ..........................i am not an expert..just a student like you,... hope this helps.

hello agash . you have got msc finance and accounting from u.k university which appears to be highly rated . as per my idea the msc you have done was one year course. As regards gbm..please remember that it is a certificate course whereas a degree or diploma course helps in cga credits ,,particularly for students from accounting fields. So please choose a suitable course accordingly.
