Canada Course: post-graduate certificate program in Cyber Security at Loyalist College.
One of my friend study visa rejected due to bellow reasons based on GCMA Notes
=> Review of all information before me, including client's educational and employment history. Client has a Bachelor of Computer Application in 2019. Client also holds a Master of Computer Application in 2021. Applicant is seeking a post-graduate certificate program in Cyber Security at Loyalist College.
Given the applicant's previous education and employment, Iam not satisfied the motivation to pursue this particular program at this point in time in Canada, is reasonable. The applicant already possesses an equal or higher level of qualification. It is unclear how the applicant's current employment and previous education history aligns with the applicant's proposed course of study. Chosen program and course content at the college level at such expense appears illogical in light of the PA's reported education in a Master's degree. Thus, the proposed program does not adequately demonstrate a logical progression of studies. PA has held various employment not related to study program of choice. Hence, Iam not satisfied that applicant would not have already achieved the benefits of this program.
PA has failed to satisfy me that pursuing the selected program of study is reasonable given the high cost of international study in Canada when weighed against the potential career/employment benefits after completion, and the local options available for similar studies.
Based on the above balance, Iam not satisfied that this applicant is a bona fide student. Weighing the information on hand in this specific case, the applicant has failed to establish that they are a bona fide temporary resident who will leave Canada following the completion of their studies pursuant to section R216 (1)(b). Application refused.
