Hi guys. Yesterday i was refused study permit on the grounds of not satisfied he is a bonafied intending student. Plzz help. Here is my profile
10th 80%. 12th55%. Bachelors in hotel management and catering technology. Average 4 years 60%. I have applied for post graduation in hospitality and tourism operations at fanshawe college. I had applied paper based application. I have ielts score 7.5 overall with no less than 6 band. I have paid gic 10300 plus 1 year tution fee. I think i had a problem with my SOP itself. Below I am sharing my SOP. Guys please help. I want to reapply again.
Hospitality is distinctive business activity and has a critical role in global economy leading to create percentage of jobs worldwide. And also it performs major role in satisfying guest requirement in one or other way. Looking at the fast growing hospitality industry, it is necessary to have a strong base in education and work experience. I have taken admission for Postgraduate Diploma in HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT- THM 1 at the prestigious Fanshawe College. At Fanshawe College, I will be fortunate to shape my career in advance manner and I can furnish my knowledge and skills which I gained throughout my experiences.
After High School, I wanted to get an exposure to the world of Hotel management, before committing towards it. Hence, I started working as a trainee with “Hotel Shreyas, Pune” an authentic and renowned Maharahtrian cuisine restaurant in Pune. I worked and gained experienced in every department right from managing the billing counter, working as a supervisor, to being an assistant to the Head chef in the kitchen. After a handful experience of more than a year, I was well convinced that this career path was the perfect one for me. I then went on to pursue my undergrad studies in the same.
I have completed my BACHELORS in HOTEL MANAGEMENT & CATERING TECHNOLOGY (BHMCT) from AISSMS College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, PUNE in July 2019 with aggregate of 60%
During the course of my studies I had the privilege of completing my six months internship at the prestigious Pronghorn Resorts in Bend, Oregon(USA) , a Five Star resort and one of Oregon’s finest group of Resorts. I gained valuable experience during the course of my internship in different departments of the industry. My work was highly appreciated by one and all and I achieved very good recommendations from my seniors and mentors.
The fact that service to Man is service to God has inspired me to take up my Graduation and Post-graduation studies in this field, I feel that through my profession and service I can be very useful to the Society and help the needy. Hospitality caters to just these needs hence I find working in this field a pleasure and a great learning experience, for inculcating compassion and love and a sense of service to mankind. It has made me a better human being
I found Canada to be one of the most suitable & best options for me, as Canada is the 2nd largest country in the world with world class education facilities. The concept of Canadian education fully catered my need for taking a PG program abroad. My strong Hospitality background will also be helpful when I do my P G course in Canada.
I chose Fanshawe College as my option because it’s one of the reputed & largest colleges in Canada with the best state of the art facilities & very strong & the curriculum, the faculty and the infrastructure are the best I could ask for, making it an ideal institution for me to pursue my advanced academic interests. Hospitality and tourism management offers great experiences in different fields of this business with more and more people taking up tourism to relax and to come to know different counties better, the world is becoming smaller place and the field of tourism has great opportunities so far as career is concerned both abroad and in my country. After completing my PG, I am looking to achieve my dream of opening a restaurant in India where I will put my international experience to use.
