Hello All,

I am a PR I'm canada living here. My wife is not here yet. Because of Pandemic, immigration process is going to take a long time.

I am thinking to have her coming here as a student from India.

1. Will she get any advantages/relief on tuition fees as I am a PR and she is my spouse?

2. If she doesn't get the advantage right away initially. Does she can get any advantage/relief once she is here?

Some colleges and universities do offer domestic tuition for the dependents (spouses included) of Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents, but it's not a general rule. You have to check directly with the institution where she would be studying.

And of course she would have to apply as an international student (who usually have to apply much earlier than domestic students) and get a study permit.

It will be quite difficult for her to get a study permit since you are already in Canada and It is pretty clear that she has no intentions of returning home after her studies. You can certainly try.
