Whats your timeline and from which country you applied ?

I applied from the UAE. Dubai
Applied on 24th September
Biometrics letter 25th
Did biometrics on 29th September
Application online
Visa rejected 21st October

It means, you never received Medical Request and get rejected ?
Did you attached your explanation letter together with your study permit application when you applied ?
I think the LOE is very important as it convinced the Visa Officer that you are the genuine student and will leave Canada at the end of the authorized stay.

I wasnt required to do medical..maybe the reason was my LOE...am looking into providing a more detailed one next time I reapply

I am still awaiting for my Medical Request as I applied from Singapore.
The requirements are different for each country i guess. anyway, you should provide stronger LOE this time and re-apply again.
