Study Visa Approved But Didn't Attend School

A while back I got approved for a study visa, however, I eventually decided not to go to university at the designated school. I never immigrated to Canada and I assume my student permit has already been canceled. How should I have handled this situation? Is there any way to report this to the CIC along with an explanation of why I did not attend school?

Really and truly I am just wondering how this affects the TRV to Canada I got at the same time plus any other applications like such in the future.

In my perception it is Not a big problem. If you not visited to Canada till now after getting visa that’s is only your choice.

Now if you want to go to Canada again now you can apply again and you require port of entry letter only if your trv is not yet expire.
