I have done up my study plan letter and was hoping I could get some feedback: Happy to make any changes I need to.

Subject: Personal Statement in support of student permit application
My name is _______ I am a male, born on May 29, 1996. I am an only child to _______ and ______. Both my parents are gainfully employed. I was born, raised, went to school Lavonya, Michigan. I have parents, cousins, more like brothers and sisters and friends there. I completed my high school education at …. High school. I have very strong ties to my country and my family and intend to return when required to do so. Until recently I was working in Michigan, although not in my chosen field. I would now like to
I first visited Canada in May, 2016. I found Canadian culture to be more diverse, vibrant and considered peaceful, safe and an orderly country.. I have visited several times since then and have never stayed beyond my allowed time. Flight information attached.
I am applying for a study permit for Canada as I have secured admission to Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo, B.C. Canada. Vancouver Island University is a highly regarded university and I am pleased to be accepted into their Electrical program, starting Sept, 2017 and ending March, 2017. I have completed and passed with….% for my assessment test for this program. (copy attached) Although I have not worked in this field in the past, I have always known I wanted to pursue a career in the trades. Once I decided on the Electrical trade, I researched the different career opportunities and the requirements to get myself started. The program in my home state, although much cheaper, was a one year program at….. and not as comprehensive as that one offered at V.I.U I feel having quality education would be an asset. As a graduate of this program, I will have gained knowledge and practical experience in the electrical field that will allow me to be not only more employable but an asset for any employer as an apprentice in my own country, United States of America. Electricians are in very high demand now and predict to grow even more so in the future. I feel this program will give me an edge to furthering my career in this field in my home country.

As stated previously, I am very fortunate that my parents are supportive in my decision and have the financial ability to support me during my studies. My tuition for the full program $......... and my medical has been paid (receipt attached). I have opened a Canadian bank account which will allow my parents to deposit money into that account for any further expenses. I have also attached a letter of support from _______ and _____ who are willing to provide accommodation and cover my living expenses for this time frame.
