Hello Folks,

Unfortunately, after two refusals from the Abu Dhabi visa office. I am preparing to resubmit my study permit application for the third time.
After two rejections, I wrote my study plan from scratch to make sure I answer all concerns raised by the visa officer. However, I found an official document saying that the study plan must be one page only!
Did anyone submit more than one page to the Abu Dhabi office and got approval? In my case, no way I can explain everything in one or even three pages. Can you guys help?

Link for the document: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5814E.pdf

Thanks,
Adi

firstly, did you get your GCMS notes ? this application must be perfect. do u know why exacly you got refused ? and did you prepare documents to counter these reasons ? might i ask you what was the reason ? remember in re-application visa officer look at previous rejection reasons in GCMS and make a decisions based on the previous refusal. you don't wanna end up with 3 refusals.

Hello, I got my GCMS notes for the first time and wrote a letter based on the refusal points one by one in three pages explaining exactly what the officer wanted. For the second time, I got my notes and found out that the officer most probably didn't read my letter in the second application! I noticed from GCMS notes in the second rejection that the officer didn't see my proof of funds (apartment, land, and almost double the amount in cash).

In the notes, despite my 10 years of continuous employment, the officer believes that I won't leave Canada since no employment opportunities in my COB/COR. In addition, I got a GPA of 4/4 in my studies since I started last year (Fall 2020) with my master's online due to covid. I took the maximum load despite working full time, but the officer is not sure about my purpose of visit. Note that I also visited 15 countries and got valid USA and Schengen visas, but still, he has doubts. To be honest, I am hopeless, and I think that I will lose the progress I made after finishing half of my master's courses online

this might do with your choice of program. what did u apply for ? and what are your credentials ? i guess you have 10 years of experience and bachelor's degree right ?

No, he didn't mention anything about my credentials. I am a civil engineer with experience in project management and my program is related. I am studying MBA and I have related certificates in business analysis and project management in 2019.

your profile is good and u are doing master in your field and i believe you have enough funds. i strongly suggest you to work with really specialized Canadian immigration laywer that deals with study permit. they will make a perfect 3rd application for you and appeal the decision if it is not convincing. that is what i would do if i were you.

Hey sorry to hear of you case. What is your country of citizenship if I may ask ? Reason being, AUH office does not really read SOP's in my opinion. They just go through the form and take a decision. Have come across lots of applicants including myself who were rejected in spite of showing lots of documents, property papers and SOP in the client upload section. I believe since it is not mandatory these officers there don't take the trouble to even open. People receive random rejection reasons and they are aware that an appeal process costs lots of money so no one will complaint.

I strongly suggest to try and apply from your home country for this application. All the best !

well abudhabi office have overload of applications. they process applications from 6 or 7 countries. they make quick decisions. i am not sure if it is really wise to add a lot of documents to prove something. just upload what is necessary. also from my observations . VO tends to be less strict with citizens rather than residents. if you are a resident of a country abroad. then your chances drop a little due to reduced ties to home country.

So you started a MBA program without a study permit, correct? Why? Hopefully it is at a public university and not a private like Canada West or Crandall because that will factor in the decision. Since you are half way through are you committed to completing the program without a study permit, if you are refused again. Keep your SOP to one page, 2 page max.

Hello again, I started online since I thought that a study permit would be granted (no regrets here since the fees are low and I learned a lot so far)
Yes, I will continue my MBA even if I will have to transfer to another university in another country. I had a 2 pages SOP in my previous applications, but as the guys said, I am sure that the VO didn't read it. I will take your advice and apply from the visa office in my country rather than the AD office. Thanks a lot.

I get that but it is not an excuse to not fairly evaluate applications as lives depends on this. If they cant do it, they need to stop accepting applications. Entire world has adapted to working innovatively with the pandemic going on, developed country like Canada should not be struggling.

They kept my file for 4 months and started review a week before handing me rejection(I know this from GCMS notes and reasons provided are clear indication they have not gone through the documents I provided and neither the SOP). About 90% people living in UAE are expats and rest are citizens. If they don't want to evaluate expats then make a rule to allow candidates to apply from home country which they wont.
