Hi,

I’m from Nepal and I’ve been living and working in UAE since 2013. I’ve applied for study permit for masters degree in Business Administration recently along with a SOWP.

How long does it take to process the application if applied from UAE and what are the approval chances?

Partially depends on the school but in general pretty low. What is your job history? Applying from a 3rd country, especially one that won’t grant your permanent status/ citizenship, always raises concerns

I’ve got LOA for MBA from Vancouver Island University. I’ve been working in Billing department as a Manager for one of the hospital in UAE.

For short term goal I mentioned in SOP that I’ll be returning to UAE for a better position. Long term goal to move back to Nepal as my mother is living alone back home.

Processing will likely take months.

Update.
I’ve got update in IRCC portal saying I’ve passed the medical and they are reviewing if I meet the eligibility requirements.

How long does it usually take after the file has gone for review?
