I am currently waiting for the process of my CAQ for studying in Canada, Quebec in particular. I have some major urgent concerns regarding my specific case.

Please find my background information below:
  • My nationality is Indian. I already have a Canada visitor visa (multiple entries) valid up to the year 2020. I have an PhD admission offer from a university in Quebec, and I am scheduled to join in coming Fall starting September first week. I am running a little late in the application timeline for study permit etc.
  • Meanwhile, I have started my Study Permit application online and will be submitting it once I receive my CAQ approval in the online my CIC portal.

I am looking for answers for the following concerns of mine:
  1. Is it okay for me to travel to Canada, during the time when my online study permit application to is under review and is being processed (via my visitor visa)? Is there any risk and potential chances of being denied entry at the border control?
  2. While my study permit application is being processed, if I enter Canada on my visitor visa, What would I need to do once the study permit is approved to start my studies?
  3. Do I need a *new* Temporary Residency Visa (TRV) once I obtain my study permit while I am in Canada or my current visitor visa would suffice along with the study permit to register as a full-time student?
I have read online a lot, tried emailing the Canada embassy (who do not take enquiries on call) and VFS (who do not handle online application enquiries), but I am uncertain and wish to get a clarity on these doubts so I could plan my travel ahead in time and prepare for the upcoming semester in advance.

I really appreciate your time in replying to my email.
Please reply at the earliest convenient time. Looking forward to your reply.
