I am from the US and trying to get a Canadian study permit. I have several issues. First, neither I nor my parents have $10,000. I can take out loans for my tuition so that isn't the problem, its the extra $10,000 it says I need in order to get a permit. Can I just provide my parents and my bank account statements and say they will support me? I also plan on working on or off campus while studying.
This is my other issue. My boyfriend lives in Canada, hence the reason I want to study there. I would be living with him while studying. Will mentioning him decrease my chances of getting a study because it will make it seem as if I won't leave at the end of my studies? He also has enough funds to support me and can prove it. I plan on studying and then applying for a post grad work permit and then permanent residency. Is it a bad idea to mention that?
Is there anyway I can move to Canada if I can't get a study permit? i am still a college student so I have never had a salary paying job and have only an associates degree. Thank you!
