Study Permit states I am not authorized to work in canada.

I applied for a bridging study permit extension on September 29th 2024 and I have received an approval letter in November 2024. Due to Canada post strike my permit got delivered on 31st December 2024.

In the approval letter this condition was not mentioned. However, when the permit arrived this condition was mentioned. I never had this condition before on my study permit. This is a first time.

I have now officially completed my Master's degree. My university is DLI approved. I do get to apply for PGWP for 3yrs. My completion letter will be generated sometime next week. And will be able to get it from school in the 3rd week of this month. My program falls under Healthcare.

My questions:
- Why was this condition given to me?
- When I apply with this conditioned study permit for PGWP, how will it affect my application?
- Can I start working fulltime after I apply my PGWP? (Right now I have stopped working all together from 1st January 2025)
- Can I self employ myself and work independently with others? Like be my own boss, set my own rate? Can I start my side business to have some kind of pay to live until this is solved?
- If I need to, how can I get this condition removed and how long will it take?
- If I do travel to my home country, how will it look coming back to Canada? (The PGWP application processing time is 200days, worst case scenario if I can't work until PGWP is approved)

If anyone has any experience in this or any idea what is happening here, please help me. I'm stressing out.

So you applied for study permit extension, and it now says you cannot work. What DLI?

- No one can tell you why.
- You cannot work until PGWP is approved because current permit doesn’t allow work.
- No.
- Cannot work in Canada.
- Google - change conditions permit and apply. Expect up to 6 months so may get PGWP response before answer.
- So you are applying for PGWP outside Canada? If not, do you have an approved TRV?
