One of my friends has been in Canada for a year.She went to Humber college and finished her courses in April and she has been doing her internship at a company for a month now.Her study permit expires on August 30th.Because she has not got her certificate yet she does not want to leave Canada and applied to renew her study permit on July 18th.Now we have a few questions.
1) She has not provided any letter from the college,she just applied and wrote "I have not graduated yet from Humber college therefore I`d like to renew my study permit". Do you think it is an acceptable reason ? I told her the government may ask for more info regarding her intentions because she is not enrolled in any school/course anymore.
2) What if she does not receive her renewed study permit until August 30th? (what if her study permit expires while she is waiting for it in Canada?) She applied online so the approximate processing time is 28 business days.If we count 28 busi. days from July 18th,it`ll be around August 29th
People at the college do not know anything.
