I applied for a Study permit on October 14th. My upfront medical was updated on November 3rd, but unfortunately, my visa application was rejected on November 6th.

Reasons given:
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable).
• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the details you have provided in your application.

In my SOP, I mentioned my wife and daughter, who will be staying in our home country. My wife is a doctor here. Gave all the supporting documents regarding family, marriage certificate, her employment docs. What can one do more to prove "significant family ties"? And any good resources online I can follow? Or because of the housing crisis or file backlog, they are rejecting through AI?

you have two posts with the same questions. What school as you said private university in the other thread? Also you don’t have enough funds.

You’ve only budgeted $14000 a year for living costs . # 1- you need to do research on ACTUAL living expenses in Canada , then # 2- get more money

Even if you shared a place at $1000/month. That leaves you with only $2000 for everything else in a year . Groceries etc . You’d basically be destitute. You must realize how expensive Canada is . It’s astronomically expensive.
I took a year off from work in Toronto . My rent $2000/month. With expenses I used $45000.00. And I am frugal
And this was pre covid. And I know where to shop for cheaper things .

Good course. Which uni?

Confirmed in another thread that it's a private university. Don't know which one but that may be a big part of the problem. Doesn't make sense to pay so much money, come all the way over here, and be separated from your family for a poor level of education.
